Bensalem Public Works Is Ready, Willing & Able!
After two years without any significant snow storms, the men and women of our roads department are really prepared for this storm. The trucks were deployed early Wednesday morning to spread a snow melting agent to assist with the plowing of the streets later Wednesday and through the night and Thursday if necessary. The salt shed is full, a full staff is on duty (to include mechanics, who work around the clock to keep all equipment up and running 24/7 during a snow emergency). Please be courteous and if able, place vehicles in driveways so our drivers can plow curb-to-curb and do their very best! Please do not shovel your driveways until the crews are done plowing the roads to avoid double and triple shoveling of driveway aprons. We are only responsible for clearing the roads and not your driveways or sidewalks. Proceed with caution if you must drive during the storm. For questions and or problems please contact our Public Works Department at 215-633-3980.
