Bensalem Community Television, also known as BCT, is a local government access channel granted to the Township as part of its franchise agreement. BCT can be viewed on Comcast Cable Channel 22 in Bensalem, and Verizon Fios Channel 34 throughout all of Bucks County. Bensalem Community Television is on-air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week presenting proprietary programming as well as scrolling information about Township events and other useful community news. You can view the program schedule here. BCT also has it's own Online Video Channel where most programming can be viewed.
In addition to live and repeat broadcasts of Council Meetings, the channel produces several programs. B-Town Talk is both an in-studio and on-location program that informs residents about happenings within the community, and introduces viewers to sites around the township that are interesting and timely. The Mayor's Show is an interview style program featuring Mayor DiGirolamo as host to guests that cover a broad range of topical issues. Penn Community Bank Amphitheater Concert Recaps can be viewed both on air and online during the summer concert season. Reporting of special events and breaking news throughout the Township encompass a program called Special Reports. Out of the Archives is a show that repeats previously aired programs.
Bensalem Community Television is proud to have been awarded three Telly Awards over the years, for outstanding programming in community television.
BCT has its own studio within the township building. While we cannot accept and/or air any type of commercial message, airing of community news about non-profits and service organizations based within Bensalem is possible. Proposed postings can be emailed here, or faxed to 215-633-3629.
