Please be advised that street sweeping will commence in April and will be following the rotating schedule listed below. Sweeping will be done Monday thru Friday. Sweeping operations will run from April 03, 2023 through September 15, 2023.

WEEK 1 - APRIL 03, 2023 - APRIL 07, 2023
Hansell Drive, Knights Road, Byberry Road, Annina Lane, Tucker Road, Essington Way section, Belmont Ridge section, Rockhill Drive, Columbia Drive, Woodsview Drive, Hidden Valley section, Country Village section, Apple Way, White Oak Lane. The Township is closed Friday April 7, 2023 for Holiday.

Ramp, Roadway Construction Planned Next Week, Next Weekend on U.S. 1, Rockhill Drive in Bensalem Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that ramp and roadway construction will continue next week on U.S. 1 between Old Lincoln Highway and the Neshaminy Exit under projects to reconstruct, widen and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships, Bucks County. 
 
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, March 27, through Thursday, March 30, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a single lane pattern will be in place in both directions on Rockhill Drive between Horizon Boulevard and Neshaminy Boulevard for stormwater drainage construction;
  • Monday, March 27,  through Friday, March 31, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, alternating, double lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 between Old Lincoln Highway and the Neshaminy Exit for pavement surface grinding; and
  • From 8:00 PM Friday, March 31, to 6:00 AM Monday, April 3, the ramp from southbound U.S. 1 to Rockhill Drive at the Neshaminy Exit will be closed for construction. Motorists will be detoured south on U.S. 1, west on Street Road (Route 132), then north on Old Lincoln Highway to Rockhill Drive. This work had been scheduled for this weekend but has been postponed due to weather.
 
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
 
PennDOT is reconstructing and widening U.S. 1, improving the interchanges, and constructing new bridges between Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Township and Penndel/Business U.S. 1 in Middletown Township under two contracts (RC1, RC2) totaling more than $207 million.
