BENSALEM TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT UNVEILS NEW COMMUNITY INITIATIVE: INTRODUCING “COPSICLE” POLICE ICE CREAM BUS Bensalem, Pennsylvania on Wednesday May 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm Location: Imagination Land Playground at 3700 Hulmeville Road, the corner of Hulmeville Road and Byberry Road. Bensalem, Pa 19020. The Bensalem Township Police Department will be putting into service their new police ice cream bus referred to as “Copsicle”. This new initiative will allow for a police officer in a police vehicle ice cream bus, to go into the community giving away free ice cream to our youth. This is one more initiative by the Bensalem Township Police Department in forming relationships and breaking down barriers with our youth. Bensalem Township has always been proactive and creative in forming new partnerships within our community. This “Copsicle” is a converted small school bus that was donated by our school district to the police department keeping with our great relationship. We also received funds from one of our great community coalitions, Building a Better Bensalem (B3T) and Creekside Apartments. The bus was then transformed into an ice cream vehicle. Come join us at the unveiling to see the vehicle and to hear about the partnerships that helped pay for its transformation and for the ice cream that will be given away to our community.
