FAMILY FUN FRIGHT NIGHT
AND SCARECROW CONTEST

This event is hosted by Mayor DiGirolamo, Bensalem Council and the Bensalem Township Parks and Recreation Department. This event has been designed to replace our Family Affairs Under the Stars while still providing our residents the opportunity to enjoy the “great outdoors” and time together as a family.

Pre-scheduled activities are provided for your enjoyment and others are available at your leisure.  Activities will include a fun haunted house walk through, pumpkin decorating, Halloween craft, Magic Show, Mini Golf, Mad Science Spooky Halloween show, bingo for kids, raffle for adults, treasure haystack and early trick or treat candy.  Light Refreshments will be provided while supplies last.

FAMILY FUN FRIGHT NIGHT
SCARECROW CONTEST
 
 
This event is hosted by Mayor DiGirolamo, Council and the Bensalem Township Parks and Recreation Department.  Everyone’s invited to participate for bragging rights in creating a one of a kind scarecrow to be displayed around the Bensalem Community Park the night of Family Fun Fright Night. Registration to compete in this event is limited to a total of 25 families or individuals. There will be one winner selected in each category.

Scarecrow Contest Information and Rules:

1. Open to Bensalem Township Residents only.
2. Participants are free to create a scarecrow of your choice; however, all scarecrows must be family-friendly. Any entry which is deemed to be offensive or inappropriate by the Parks and Recreation Department will not be placed into competition or displayed.
3. Entries may not be political in nature or contain any gore.
4. Scarecrows will be placed in various locations at the Bensalem Community Park. Placement locations will be at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department.
5. Scarecrows must be made to withstand the weather conditions.
6. Entries may not be any larger than 6 feet and contain no perishable goods in the construction of your scarecrow or be powered by electric or kinetics.
7. Entries must be picked up and removed by Sunday October 22nd before 4:00 pm.
8. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to remove and discard any scarecrows left after October 23rd.
9.  Contest winners will be posted on website by October 23rd .
10.  If participating, a completed pre-registration form must be submitted to the Bensalem Township Parks and Recreation Department at 2400 Byberry Road no later than October 4th .  Once registered, your scarecrow entry must be dropped off at the Bensalem Community Park between the hours of 2-7pm on October 19th
