Bensalem Township Police, along with Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo, State Senator Tommy Tomlinson, and State Representative K.C. Tomlinson announce the award of a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) for public safety in the amount of $929,000.00. This funding is earmarked for the Bensalem Township Police Department and Bensalem EMS to combat the crime and drug issues along the Route 1 hotel corridor in Bensalem Township. During a press conference held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 they outlaid the specifics of the grant, the specific allocation of the funding, and what tactics will be implemented to reduce crime and combat the continuing drug epidemic.
