The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining all Township-owned streets with sweeping, plowing, salting, line stripping and repaving. To report a pothole on a Township-owned street call 215-633-3980 or fill out a service request.
Bensalem Township is not permitted to perform work of any kind, including snow removal, on state-owned roads. All issues with state roadways must be directed to PennDot at 215-345-6060.

The sweeper runs seasonally. The season commences in May and continues through early October. Each neighborhood in Bensalem is scheduled to be swept twice per season. The sweeper schedule is advertised on all forms of social media as well as Bensalem Community Television Channel (BCT), Comcast 22 / Verizon 34. The street sweeper is not designed to pick up leaves or other debris.

ROAD-KILLED DEER should be reported directly to the region office that serves the county where the animal is located. A variety of entities handle road-killed deer removal throughout the state and the region office can clarify the proper authorities to notify based on the location of the animal.
