Glendale Drive Storm Sewer Improvements Project
Bensalem Township will receive sealed online bids for construction of the Glendale Drive Storm Sewer Improvements Project via PennBIDtm. The scope of work generally includes drainage improvements, earthwork, paving and associated items of work.
Bids will be accepted until May 9, 2024 at 3:00 PM prevailing time via PennBIDtm. Bids will be opened, and summary of the results will be made public after Bids are due. Bids will have a tentative award date of May 20, 2024. Faxed bids will not be accepted.
An onsite pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 9:00A.M. at the site location on Glendale Drive.
Any interested bidder shall be Township prequalified or shall submit your Township prequalification forms within the bid package. These documents shall include the Responsible Contractor Certification Form and Responsibility Statement with Supporting Data Form.
All questions shall be submitted via PennBIDtm.
The contract documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at PennBIDtm – https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. A nominal fee is assessed only to bidders who are awarded contracts. For bidders who are not the winning bid; there are absolutely no fees.
Bids are to be submitted via PennBIDtm on the forms furnished in the bid package. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder’s bond, or certified check or cashier’s check, in favor of Bensalem Township, in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to Bensalem Township.
All bidders must complete the Bidder Qualifications form and the Contractor & Subcontractor Responsibility Certification form. This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents.
Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by Bensalem Township. The Township reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in the bidding, as permitted by law, and to accept any Bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of the Township in its sole and absolute discretion.
