A concept that started as a dream is in the final stages before construction thanks to a matched grant funded by the DCNR. The replacement of Imagination Land Playground has taken two years of planning, grant applications, design, funding, and permits. Finally we are lining up contractors and awaiting approval from the Department of Conservation and Natural Recourses to break ground on the project. The new playground will feature equipment for all children including an ADA accessible carousel, adaptive swing/zip line seats, ADA belt ladders, and even sensory stations to name a few. Mayor DiGirolamo, Bensalem Council, and Parks & Recreation are excited to bring this one of a kind imagination into reality in the very near future.
